About Us

Polymedic is a proud 100% Australian-owned design and manufacturing company with over 40 years of trading history right here in Queensland. We design and manufacture medical trolleys and related products used in hospitals and aged care facilities across Australia, working with PVC and Glass Filled Nylon at our Luscombe facility. We're experiencing solid and steady growth and are looking for someone who wants to be part of our story for the long haul — not just a job, but a career.

About the Role

This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role working 7:00am – 4:00pm, with the added bonus of a 9-day fortnight — meaning every second Friday is yours to enjoy! We're not looking for someone to fill a seat — we're looking for someone who wants to plant roots, grow their skills and become a valued long-term member of our team.

If you've got a background in cabinetry, plumbing, carpentry or any hands-on trade, and you're ready to settle into a reliable, rewarding role — this could be exactly what you've been looking for.

What You'll Be Doing

- Measuring, cutting and shaping raw materials for use in production

- Operating production equipment including Saws, CNC Routers and Reamers

- Assembling, finishing and packing goods ready for shipment

- Monitoring the production process and carrying out quality checks and basic testing

- Storing goods and raw materials safely within the facility

- Reporting equipment faults to the Manager promptly

- Operating a forklift (Forklift Certificate advantageous but not essential — we can help with this)





- Cleaning and maintaining work areas and machinery

- Working in accordance with Quality Assurance and OHS standards

What We're Looking For

We're not after a short-term filler — we want someone who is ready to commit, grow and thrive with us for years to come. You don't need to tick every box, but hands-on experience will set you apart. Ideally you'll bring:

- A genuine desire for long-term, stable employment — we want someone who wants to stay and grow with us

- Hands-on experience in cabinetry, plumbing, carpentry or a similar trade (highly regarded)

- Confidence using power and hand tools and operating machinery

- Ability to read technical drawings
- A positive, can-do attitude and eagerness to keep learning

- Good teamwork and communication skills

- Basic computer skills

- Full Australian work rights

- Forklift Certificate (advantageous but not essential)
