We're working with a recognised name in commercial and workplace furniture sector who are seeking a Project Coordinator to join a dynamic team in Melbourne.
This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting the successful delivery of commercial furniture projects from inception to completion. As Project Coordinator, you will be instrumental in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
This role bridges communication between clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinating and scheduling project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure projects stay on track and within budget
- Liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to gather project requirements and provide regular updates on project progress
- Preparing and maintaining project documentation, including specifications, quotations, contracts, and delivery schedules
- Managing inventory and tracking deliveries of commercial furniture and materials to project sites
- Assisting with site inspections and quality assurance checks to ensure products meet client specifications and industry standards
- Identifying and resolving project issues and risks, escalating concerns to senior project managers when necessary
- Supporting the development and maintenance of project schedules and resource allocation across multiple concurrent projects
- Maintaining detailed project records and documentation for compliance and future reference
Skills and expereince
- Proven experience as a Project Coordinator, Project Administrator,
or similar role within the commercial furniture or interior product sector
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Project Management software
- Solid understanding of project management principles, budgeting, and scheduling practices
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in documentation and reporting
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and implement practical solutions
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team whilst managing tasks independently
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement and career development
