Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Estimator to join our team in a full time, office-based role located in Bondi Junction, NSW.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates for commercial fitout projects. This includes reviewing architectural drawings, specifications, schedules and tender documentation, completing detailed quantity take-offs using Bluebeam Revu , preparing Bills of Quantities, obtaining supplier and subcontractor pricing, and compiling tender submissions.

The role will work closely with the Director, project managers, site teams, suppliers, subcontractors and clients to clarify project requirements, identify risks and opportunities, manage cost variations, and provide practical value-engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Review architectural drawings, specifications, schedules, BOQs and tender documentation.




- Complete detailed quantity take-offs using Bluebeam Revu.
- Prepare and review Bills of Quantities for commercial fitout projects.
- Measure partitions, ceilings, glazing, doors, painting and other fitout trades.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, trade breakdowns, budgets and tender submissions.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Compare tender pricing against project scope and identify exclusions, qualifications and potential risks.
- Prepare scopes of work and subcontractor comparison schedules.
- Maintain accurate estimating rates, supplier pricing and cost databases.
- Assist with variations, cost plans, value engineering and budget updates.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to clarify tender requirements.
- Support project handover from estimating to the delivery team.
- Monitor current labour, material and subcontractor market rates.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of Pimlico Group’s estimating systems and procedures.
- Manage multiple tenders while meeting submission deadlines.

Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience as an estimator, quantity surveyor or in a similar construction estimating role.
- Commercial fitout or interior construction estimating experience is highly regarded.




- Strong experience using Bluebeam Revu for digital measurements, mark-ups and quantity take-offs.
- Experience preparing and reviewing BOQs, cost plans and detailed trade breakdowns.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software.
- Sound understanding of commercial fitout construction methods, materials and trade sequencing.
- Knowledge of partitions, ceilings, glazing, doors, painting and associated fitout trades is preferred.
- Ability to accurately interpret architectural drawings, specifications and schedules.
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate confidently with project managers, suppliers, subcontractors and clients.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tender deadlines.
- Relevant qualification in construction management, quantity surveying, building or a related discipline is preferred; however, equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
