About the role

Opportunities are available across our Box Hill, Maroondah and Angliss Intensive Care Units, offering the prospect to work within a large and connected critical care network while enjoying the unique culture and strengths of each site.

Each ICU provides high-quality care to patients with severe and complex illnesses. Our diverse case mix offers staff exposure to a broad range of contemporary critical care presentations, including:

- Complex medical and surgical patients across a wide range of specialties, including respiratory, thoracic, cardiology, neurology, renal, oncology, haematology, endocrine, orthopaedic and plastic surgery.
- Accredited Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO)



services and a high-volume Extracorporeal Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (ECPR) program at Box Hill Hospital.
- Opportunities to contribute to quality improvement, research, education and service development initiatives across the Eastern Health critical care network.

About you

As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, your skills and experience will include:

- Current registration with AHPRA (essential)
- Recent critical carenursing experience within Australia
- Post graduate qualification in critical care(essential)
- An empathetic and personable demeanour
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills





Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in theAustralian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
