- Salary ranges from $102,936 to $113,579 p.a. plus superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

As the Asset Accounting Analyst, you will deliver a customer-centred approach to support the Departments fixed asset accounting activities, ensuring they are managed, processed and reported in a timely manner. You will:

- Provide specialist workflow support to stakeholders to resolve financial and system-related issues
- Deliver timely and accurate advice on financial policies, asset accounting requirements and relevant legislations
- Coordinate team activities to ensure financial transactions are processed within agreed timeline
- Monitor and maintain accuracy in financial transactions, reporting and accounting records Analyse and reconcile financial asset records to maintain accurate data

- Demonstrate experience in accounting and/or finance

- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with ability to identify discrepancies and reconcile financial discrepancies

- A collaborative approach and a can-do attitude, contributing to team outcomes and excellent customer serviceKnowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

- Tertiary qualifications or relevant Australian experience in Administration, Finance and Accounting or a relevant discipline,
- Proven experience in accounting and finance functions with a sound knowledge of accounting principles and standards, financial data processing
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
