You will still be hands-on.

But you will also help guide emerging electricians, support apprentices, lift standards on site and help the team deliver projects properly.

The Opportunity

You will work across a range of commercial and construction projects throughout Melbourne.

Alongside delivering high-quality electrical work, you will take a lead role on site and help emerging electricians develop their skills, confidence and professional standards.

You will work closely with our Project Leads and Operations team to ensure the work is completed safely, efficiently and to the standard our clients expect.

You will be trusted to make sound decisions, raise issues early and help keep the team moving in the right direction.





This is an opportunity to step beyond being a strong individual electrician and become an important leader within the delivery team.

What You Will Be Doing

You will take responsibility for:

- Delivering high-quality electrical work safely and efficiently
- Leading by example across safety, quality, attitude and professionalism
- Supporting, coaching and developing apprentices and emerging electricians
- Helping allocate work and maintain productivity across the team
- Reading and interpreting plans, specifications and project requirements
- Identifying risks, issues and potential delays early
- Working with Project Leads to keep projects on program
- Checking the quality of work completed by the team
- Providing clear direction and practical support on site
- Communicating with clients, supervisors and other trades
- Maintaining accurate job records and documentation
- Helping create a positive, accountable and respectful site culture
- Escalating issues early rather than allowing problems to grow
- Finding better ways of doing things and contributing to continuous improvement

This Role Is Not For Everyone

What You Will Bring

You will need:

- A current Victorian A-Grade Electrical Licence
- Strong commercial or construction electrical experienceThe confidence to lead and support others on site
- Solid technical and practical electrical knowledge

- The ability to hold standards while maintaining positive working relationships
- A professional and reliable approach
- Previous experience as a Leading Hand, senior electrician or informal team leader will be highly regarded.
