We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and motivated Deli/Café Assistant to join our small, family-owned team. This is a varied role based primarily in our busy takeaway coffee shop, which operates alongside our independent specialty food store. While your main focus will be serving customers in the café, you'll also assist across both businesses as needed, making every day a little different.

Part time (24 hours / 3 days a week) OR full time available

NO SUNDAYS

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service, and is happy to be versatile and lend a hand wherever it's needed. Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver friendly, efficient customer service in our takeaway coffee shop.
- Prepare and serve quality coffee and a range of hot and cold beverages.
- Prepare and serve café food, sandwiches, and light meals.
- Operate the point-of-sale system and handle customer transactions.
- Maintain a clean,



organized, and well-presented café environment.
- Restock displays and monitor stock levels throughout the day.
- Assist customers in our specialty food store and help with merchandising and product presentation when required.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards across both businesses.
- Support the team with general day-to-day operations wherever needed.

About You:

- Friendly, approachable, and passionate about customer service.
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Flexible and willing to assist across both the café and specialty food store.
- Previous café, deli, hospitality, or retail experience is preferred, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.
