With ambitious plans for the future, they are now seeking a General Manager to help drive the next stage of business performance and expansion.

The Role
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with the Directors to lead the day-to-day operations of a successful manufacturing and construction business. Responsible for developing a high-performance culture, improving systems and processes, and delivering strategic growth initiatives, you will play a critical role in shaping the future direction of the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

- Lead and develop senior leaders, department managers and operational teams
- Drive strategic planning, business improvement and organisational growth initiatives
- Review and optimise manufacturing, construction and operational workflows
- Ensure financial performance, profitability and budget targets are achieved
- Develop and implement leadership, succession and performance management frameworks
- Build and maintain solid relationships with customers, suppliers, contractors and industry stakeholders
- Champion workplace safety,



compliance and continuous improvement across all operations.

About You
You are an experienced senior leader with strong commercial judgement and a practical understanding of manufacturing, engineering, or construction environments. You are process-driven, fair and credible with operational teams, while also being comfortable reporting to Directors and contributing to strategic growth.

- Proven general management or senior operational leadership experience within an SME or comparable business.
- Strong experience across steel manufacturing, fabrication, production, engineering, construction or related sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to improve systems, workflows, cost control and operational performance.
- Sound financial management capability, including budgets, forecasts, reporting and profitability measures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience developing leaders, setting performance standards and building accountable teams.
- Relevant qualifications in business, engineering, production, construction or leadership will be highly regarded.
