Summary of Position

As the Production Planner and Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and on-time execution of the production plan by coordinating daily scheduling activities and leading the production team. You will lead and manage the production team of approximately 8 production operators and be responsible for ensuring a high performing and efficient team. The production team works from 6am to 2pm and this role will work these hours to align with the production team operations. This is a full time, permanent, onsite role at our offices in Mulgrave, VIC.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Scheduling

- Develop and maintain production schedules.
- Sequence work to optimise efficiency and meet delivery deadlines.
- Adjust plans to respond to breakdowns, material shortages, changing priorities.
- Create documentation of production plans and processes.
- Provide day-to-day direction, support, and supervision to production operators.
- Allocate labour effectively across shifts to meet production requirements.
- Manage attendance and performance.




- Coach and develop team members to build capability and flexibility.

Safety & Compliance

- Ensure production activities are in line with safety policies and procedures.
- Promote a strong safety culture and lead by example.
- Identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Output, Quality & Performance Management

- Monitor production performance against plan (output, efficiency, and downtime)
- Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Investigate and address deviations from plan, implementing corrective actions.

Resource & Capacity Optimisation

- Ensure effective utilisation of labour, equipment, and materials.
- Identify constraints and proactively plan to mitigate risks to production.

Skills & Qualifications

- 5 years+ in manufacturing in planning roles which may include inventory controller, demand planner or production coordination.
- Experience managing production teams in a professional workplace.
- 5+ years in people management.
- Experience in ERP systems.
- Experience with forecasting and scheduling.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills.
