We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Greek Speaking Support Worker to join our growing team across Sydney. This casual position is ideal for someone passionate about providing person-centred care while supporting participants in a culturally inclusive and respectful environment.
As a Greek Speaking Support Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support to clients in their homes and within the community, promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing while building meaningful relationships with participants and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support in clients' homes.
- Assist with showering, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene.
- Complete domestic assistance including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Assist with medication prompting and support.
- Support clients with daily living activities and community participation.
- Transport clients to medical appointments, shopping, and social outings.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Maintain accurate progress notes and required documentation.
- Support clients to achieve their individual goals and maximise independence.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate fluently in Greek and English.
- Experience in disability support, aged care,
or community services (preferred).
- Certificate III or higher in Disability, Aged Care, or Community Services, or willingness to obtain within 12 months.
- Minimum six months' experience providing personal care (preferred).
- Understanding of person-centred care practices.
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
- Current National Police Check.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC).
- Driver's Licence and own fully insured vehicle (preferred).
- Smartphone capable of installing workplace applications.
- Completion of the NDIS New Worker Orientation Module, or willingness to complete during induction.
- Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently and within a team.
