Senior Project Engineer/Project Manager - Utility Scale BESS

We're partnering with a global energy technology OEM to recruit a Project Engineer/Project Manager to join its growing Energy Solutions business, delivering utility scale Battery Energy Storage projects across Australia.

About the Role

Reporting into the Project Delivery team, you'll take ownership of BESS projects from contract award through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and final handover.

Working alongside experienced project professionals, you'll coordinate internal engineering teams, manufacturing partners, EPC contractors, suppliers and customers to ensure successful project delivery.

This role offers exposure to the complete BESS solution, including:

- Battery Energy Storage Systems
- Power Conversion Systems (PCS)
- Transformers and substations
- Grid integration
- Controls and protection systems
- Construction and commissioning
- Client and stakeholder management

About You You'll ideally have experience delivering utility scale or large C+I renewable energy or Battery Energy Storage projects and be comfortable working with multiple stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Experience from organisations such as Fluence, Wärtsilä, SMA, Tesla, Sungrow, Powin, Hitachi Energy, GE Vernova, Siemens Energy, ABB, UGL, Downer, Toshiba, CPP, Genex, Elecnor, Neoen, Eku Energy or similar organisations would be highly regarded.

You'll also bring:

- Experience delivering utility scale BESS or renewable energy projects.
- Exposure to engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.
- Strong stakeholder and client management skills.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to manage project programmes, risks and delivery outcomes.
- A collaborative approach and a desire to continue developing your project management career.
