Project Planner (Urban Design & Landscape Architecture)

About the role

We are seeking a Project Planner with a focus on Urban Design and Landscape Architecture for a 12-month fixed-term leave cover position. This role is within the multi-disciplinary City Design Team which is responsible for the development of strategic projects such as master planning for centres, open space and future land use contributing to the development of our city. This position entails identifying and planning for current and future demands for Council and community assets.

This role will suit someone with strong design skills as a landscape architect or urban designer. We are after someone who understands the big picture and will be involved in the development of masterplans, feasibility and concept plans setting the direction for the future. Passionate and self-driven professionals with strong presentation and communication skills are encouraged to apply.

You can also expect to:





- Contribute to the development of Council's Spatial Framework working on master planning, investigation areas and public domain plans.
- Undertake a range of activities, such as preparation of project briefs, to achieve required outcomes within the agreed project scope.
- Undertake research and analysis to provide timely and accurate expert advice, reports, and briefs to inform asset planning decisions.
- Build effective working relationships within Council, government agencies, and the community to achieve Council goals.
- Engage and manage consultants and contractors as required, and review performance to ensure service delivery requirements are met.

About you We are looking for someone who has:

- Tertiary qualifications and/or experience in a relevant field.
- Current Driver’s Licence Class C.

Salary: $109,042 to $122,127 plus 12% superannuation
