- Help shape the future of grants management by supporting the establishment of a new Grants Management Office and driving best-practice governance, policy and advisory services across the organisation.
- Ongoing, full-time opportunity with the Grants, Program Design and Evaluation branch.
- Role can be based in Sydney or one of our RA Office locations by negotiation with flexible work options and hybrid arrangements available.
- Clerk 7/8, salary relative to experience, and ranges from $116,981 - $129,492 + super.

About the role As the Project Officer, Grants, you will play a key role in supporting the development and delivery of projects that strengthen grants administration across the organisation and contribute to the establishment of a new Grants Management Office (GMO).

Working closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders across the business, you will provide project management support, undertake research and analysis, develop key documentation, and help deliver initiatives that improve consistency, compliance and best-practice grants management. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a newly evolving function and support the successful implementation of the organisation's new operating model.

Key responsibilities include

- Providing project management and coordination support to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within scope and to agreed quality standards.
- Supporting the strategic development and establishment of the Grants Management Office (GMO).
- Contributing to the development, implementation and delivery of the GMO strategy.
- Undertaking research and analysis to identify trends, emerging issues and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Preparing reports, briefs, presentations and project documentation to support decision-making and project outcomes.
- Drafting, reviewing and maintaining grants management policies, frameworks, procedures and supporting documentation.
- Supporting the development and review of grant guidelines to ensure compliance with legislative, policy and best-practice requirements.
- Coordinating stakeholder engagement activities, consultations, working groups and meetings.
- Providing advice and support to teams developing new grant programs and initiatives.
- Contributing to the development of training resources and capability-building initiatives to improve grants administration across the organisation.
- Facilitating education and awareness activities relating to grants management practices, governance requirements and the role of the GMO.
- Maintaining process documentation and supporting the definition of roles, responsibilities and operating procedures across grants functions.
- Monitoring project milestones,



tracking deliverables and supporting reporting requirements for executives and external stakeholders.
- Promoting consistent, compliant and best-practice approaches to grants management across the organisation.

About You You are a proactive and organised project professional who enjoys working across multiple initiatives and building robust relationships with stakeholders. You thrive in a dynamic environment, can balance competing priorities, you have a solution focused mindset and come with ideas proposals of pathways forward, you take pride in delivering high-quality work that supports meaningful organisational outcomes.

You will bring

- Experience supporting the delivery of projects, programs or strategic initiatives in a complex organisational environment.
- Strong project coordination skills, including planning, monitoring progress, maintaining documentation and managing competing priorities.
- Well-developed research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesise information and prepare clear, evidence-based recommendations.
- Experience preparing reports, briefs, project documentation and other written materials for a variety of audiences.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build productive working relationships across diverse teams.
- The ability to coordinate meetings, workshops, consultations and working groups to support successful project outcomes.
- Experience contributing to policy development, process improvement or governance-related initiatives will be highly regarded.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to identify emerging issues, monitor project risks and contribute to practical solutions.
- A collaborative approach and a commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality service delivery.
- An interest in grants administration, governance, policy or program design, with a willingness to develop expertise in this area.
- Experience working within government or knowledge of the NSW grants environment will be highly regarded.

Essential requirements
- Tertiary qualification and/or relevant knowledge and experience.
