Your new role:
As a Provisional Fellow, Registrar or Senior Registrar in Perioperative Medicine, you'll provide high-level medical care across the surgical journey, from preoperative assessment through to postoperative management and discharge planning. You'll work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, coordinated and patient-centred care while developing specialist expertise in this growing field.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive perioperative care, including preoperative assessment and postoperative management.
Lead multidisciplinary coordination to optimise surgical outcomes and patient transitions of care.
Support specialist clinics, perioperative services and quality improvement initiatives.
Participate in teaching, clinical audits, research and the after-hours/on-call roster.
About you:
You're a collaborative and motivated medical practitioner with excellent clinical judgement and a passion for improving perioperative patient outcomes.
Skills & Experience
Eligible for, or within six months of, Fellowship of the RACP in Geriatric and/or General & Acute Medicine.
Strong knowledge of perioperative care and management of complex surgical patients.
Excellent communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
Commitment to ongoing learning, quality improvement and completing the ANZCA Perioperative Medicine Qualification.

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
