Role Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Tester / Automation Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software products throughout the development lifecycle. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to validate product functionality, identify defects, and improve testing efficiency through automation. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks while also performing manual testing when necessary.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
- Develop and maintain scalable, reusable, and reliable test automation frameworks.
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using issue tracking tools.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage.
- Participate in requirement reviews, sprint planning, and software release activities.
- Execute manual testing for new features and exploratory testing where automation is not applicable.
- Analyze test results, investigate failures, and provide clear reports with actionable recommendations.
- Monitor software quality metrics and continuously improve testing processes.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery.




- Validate application performance, stability, security, and usability where applicable.
- Contribute to test strategy, documentation, and quality standards across projects.
- Ensure software releases meet quality expectations before deployment.
- Stay current with emerging testing tools, automation technologies, and industry best practices.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar.
- Knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with API testing tools including Postman, REST Assured, or similar technologies.
- Understanding of version control systems such as Git.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with SQL and database validation techniques.
- Understanding of Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and quality.
- Commitment to continuous learning and adopting new testing technologies and best practices.
