Master Butchers Co-Operative Ltd (MBL) is a diverse business with three locations and over 135 employees. The MBL Co-Operative operates two main businesses, they are MBL Food Service and MBL Proteins.

The MBL Proteins division recycles a wide range of food industry by-products, processing food streams such as fat, bones, and mixed abattoir material from our members in two modern, environmentally friendly, efficient plants, at Wingfield and Keith in South Australia. MBL Proteins manufacture and sell high quality stock feed ingredients and value-added pet food ingredients into domestic and export markets. MBL Food Service is a leader in custom food ingredients and blending, packaging, protective clothing and equipment to the food industry.

We are currently seeking a self-motivated, reliable, and experienced HR/HC DRIVER to join the MBL Proteins operations team located in Wingfield, SA.

About the role:

- Inspect trucks for fluid levels, seals, and tyres.
- Report any operational issues.
- Must be able to drive a Manual HR vehicle.
- Report to the office any issues with specific sites.
- Monitor raw materials for foreign material from each site (i.e. plastics, gloves, hooks, etc.).
- Complete all pick-ups on round sheets.




- Monitor truck service intervals.
- Complete maintenance request forms.
- Complied with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Cleaning and inspection
- Other relevant duties as required, including providing assistant in rendering plant when required.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate the following:

- Hold a current HR/HC Driver’s License / manual trucks
- Truck driving experience: HC driving would be an advantage
- Have a valuable knowledge of the Adelaide region
- Good and clean driving history/record
- Positive attitude, customer focus, strong team player
- Effective time management skills
- Physically fit and have a proven track record of safe work practices
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Attention to detail
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Australian work rights
- Day shift hours are between 6am to 6pm

Pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing will be required and must be willing to have a Q fever vaccination.

This is a casual employment position with option of full time after probation.
