We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Assistant to join our Quality team on a 12-month maternity leave contract. Reporting directly to the Quality Assurance Manager, you will play an important role in maintaining our Quality Management System (QMS) and ensuring our products consistently meet GMP and regulatory requirements.

Reporting directly to the Quality Assurance Manager, you will play an important role in maintaining our Quality Management System (QMS) and ensuring our products consistently meet GMP and regulatory requirements.

About the Role

As a Quality Control Assistant,



you will support the Quality Assurance Manager in maintaining compliance with GMP requirements and ensuring the quality of our products throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the QA Manager in implementing and maintaining the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
- Support the timely management of deviations, change controls, CAPA, customer complaints, investigations, and quality records.
- Prepare, review, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other controlled quality documents.
- Conduct scheduled internal self-audits and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
- Perform quality control activities for raw materials, packaging materials, bulk products, and finished products, including product release or rejection decisions in accordance with procedures.
- Assist with supplier and facility assessments, raw material release, line clearance inspections, and Annual Product Reviews (APR).
- Review laboratory data, validation and stability documentation, batch manufacturing records, specifications, and manufacturing orders for GMP compliance.
- Monitor manufacturing and distribution activities to ensure compliance with approved procedures and SOPs.
- Perform In-Process Quality Control (IPQC) inspections during production.




- Witness and verify material movements during receiving, dispatch, and transfers between warehouse and manufacturing areas.
- Participate in validation and continuous improvement activities as required.
- Maintain Warehouse stock control register.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A degree or qualification in Pharmacy, Chemistry or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years' experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical, complementary medicines manufacturing environment.
- A sound understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.
- Experience with quality documentation, document control, batch records, and quality systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- A strong commitment to product quality, regulatory compliance, and workplace safety.
