About the role Amber Electric is seeking a Mid-Level UX/UI Designer to join our team. In this position, you will contribute to creating user-centric designs that enhance our platform for purchasing and selling renewable energy. Your work will play a vital role in helping customers navigate real-time electricity pricing and optimize their energy usage.

Key facts Location: Melbourne, Melbourne Region Engagement: Full-time Compensation: $120,000 - $140,000

What you'll do

- Design intuitive user interfaces and experiences for our digital platforms.
- Collaborate with product managers and developers to ensure design feasibility and alignment with user needs.
- Conduct user research and testing to gather feedback and refine designs.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to communicate design ideas effectively.

Requirements

- A minimum of 3 years of experience in UX/UI design.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite.




- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- Experience with responsive design and mobile-first approaches.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

- Familiarity with front-end development technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience in the energy sector or with sustainability-focused products.

Skills & tools
