NDIS Support Worker – ASD Level 3 & Complex Care | Casual
Location: Box Hill, NSW
Ability to Achieve is seeking a passionate, experienced, and empathetic NDIS Support Worker to join our team, supporting participants in the Lidcombe area.
We are specifically looking for Support Workers with demonstrated experience supporting participants with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Level 3 and complex care needs. To ensure the best outcome for both our participants and our staff, all successful applicants will complete paid trial shifts to ensure the right match for you and the participant.
Please note: Due to the participant's support requirements, we are seeking applicants who live within approximately 30 minutes of Box hill.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Supporting participants with ASD Level 3 using person-centred, positive behaviour support approaches.
- Providing support for participants with complex care needs while maintaining their dignity and independence.
- Facilitating community access and engagement, including accompanying clients on outings and social activities.
- Providing emotional support and encouragement to help clients develop their skills and confidence.
- Collaborating with the participant, their family, and the broader support team to implement individualised support plans.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation to ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant care.
- Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
What we’re looking for
- Essential: Demonstrated experience supporting participants with ASD Level 3.
- Essential:
Experience supporting participants with complex care needs.
- Experience managing high-needs participants and complex behaviours.
- A strong understanding of the NDIS and the ability to provide person-centred supports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build genuine relationships.
- A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- A current First Aid Certificate.
- A current driver's licence and reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle.
- A willingness to continue learning and developing professionally.
- Applicants should reside within approximately 30 minutes of Lidcombe.
