This position works under general direction from the Executive Director Holistic Health and Wellbeing, to lead team members delivering reception, and administration services in the Health Unit. The position provides effective daily oversight of service delivery to achieve and exceed performance and delivery targets that reflect the health and cultural needs of the community with a focus on quality system and continuous improvement-based management and person-centred care delivery. Managing the reception team, and administration team of the Health Clinic and focusing on reporting and medicare billing and the government incentives setting targets and KPI’s

About You

This is a special measures role and only Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples areeligible to apply, under the special measures provision, section 12(1) of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010 (Vic).

A minimum of three years’ experience in a clinical environment as a Team Leader

Demonstrated experience providing clinical services in a community, cultural, or health service environment

Experience working in a service delivery setting with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (preferred) or culturally and linguistically diverse communities

Experience or demonstrated capability to lead and support team members in a health or community service environment





Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to develop positive stakeholder relationships and communicate with diverse individuals at all levels

Ability to demonstrate resilience and meet targets and objectives within a pressured environment

Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of accuracy

An understanding of medical terminology, medical and allied health professional organisations and relevant stakeholders

Ability to work effectively and cooperatively as part of a team

Knowledge of safe and appropriate culturally centred practices for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander focused services, including employment of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people

Demonstrated understanding of social, physical, economical, and cultural strengths and challenges affecting Aboriginal communities and their ability to access adequate and quality services

Understanding of the purpose and expectations of the Victorian Child Secure Standards and demonstrated commitment to contributing to a child safe organisation in both practice and culture

Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations

*A police check, Working with Children Check, Vaccination Certificate and current Driver Licence are required for all positions.
