Job Description

- Designing, developing, and optimising mechanical components, equipment, and fabrication systems.
- Interpreting, preparing, and modifying technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications using CAD software.
- Overseeing the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and structural fabrication projects.
- Ensuring engineering designs and manufacturing processes comply with Australian Standards, safety procedures, and quality specifications.
- Providing technical support and collaborating closely with workshop fabricators, welders, and project managers.
- Identifying system or material deficiencies and implementing effective engineering solutions and modifications.
- Maintaining accurate engineering documentation, project reports, and compliance records.

About the Candidate

- A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (suitable for ANZSCO classification) or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in mechanical design, heavy fabrication, or the structural steel industry.
- Proficiency in modern CAD software and engineering calculation tools.
- A strong commitment to safety and engineering integrity is essential.
- A White Card or equivalent is required, or the candidate must be willing to obtain one.
- Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills are a must.
- The successful candidate will be punctual, reliable, and possess strong communication skills.
- They may be required to undergo a Medical and Drug & Alcohol test.
