Company Description Blanchard Racing Team is the newest and youngest team in the Supercars Championship pit lane. Based in Box Hill, Melbourne, we are seeking a Race Mechanic to join our Race Team, with the primary responsibility of preparing our Blanchard Racing Mustangs to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will be energetic, highly motivated, and mechanically skilled.

They should embrace challenges and responsibility, work effectively as part of a team, and possess the ability to build strong relationships, multitask, and be solutions-oriented—key qualities for success in this role. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues and be part of our traveling crew, attending all Repco Supercars Championship events.

Role Description The Race Mechanic is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Melbourne Area. This role is responsible for preparing, maintaining, and repairing race cars to ensure optimal performance and reliability at all times. Day-to-day tasks include conducting detailed inspections, performing mechanical adjustments, executing preventive maintenance schedules, and diagnosing and resolving technical issues before, during, and after race events.

The Race

Mechanic will collaborate closely with engineers,



other mechanics, and the race team to support car setup, pit stop readiness, and continuous improvement of vehicle performance. The role also involves maintaining accurate records of work performed, adhering to safety standards, and assisting with workshop organization and equipment care. Qualifications

Strong skills in maintenance and maintenance & repair of performance or race vehicles.

Experience with preventive maintenance practices, including inspection, servicing, and documentation.

Hands-on experience working with heavy equipment, race car components, and workshop tools.

Proficient troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve mechanical and technical issues under time pressure.

Relevant trade qualification or certification in automotive, motorsport, or mechanical engineering.

Previous experience in motorsport, high-performance automotive, or similar quick-paced mechanical environment.

Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and travel for race events, and perform physically demanding tasks.

Strong teamwork, communication, and attention to detail, with a commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship.
