This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Radiation Therapist ready to step into a permanent leadership role where your expertise will influence clinical excellence, innovation and service improvement.

What you'll be doing As a senior clinical leader, you will oversee the daily operation of a busy Radiation Therapy service while supporting the Director and Deputy Directors to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality patient care across the network.

In this role you will:

- Lead daily treatment, planning and simulation services to maximise patient access and minimise waiting times.
- Mentor, support and develop Radiation Therapists, students and multidisciplinary staff while fostering a positive team culture.
- Drive quality improvement, accreditation, clinical governance and service excellence across the department.
- Coordinate workforce planning, rostering,



performance development and operational problem-solving.
- Champion recent technology, clinical innovation and service improvement projects that shape the future of Radiation Therapy.

This position will be rotational between head of treatment operations and head of planning operations. Whilst located primarily at Blacktown Cancer and Haematology centre, the successful applicant will have some cross district responsibilities within the WSLHD radiation therapy service and may be requested to work at either location (Blacktown or Westmead) as required.

You are an experienced Radiation Therapist who enjoys leading people, solving complex challenges and creating high-performing teams. You thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment and are passionate about delivering exceptional patient outcomes while supporting others to grow.

- Significant experience leading large clinical teams within Radiation Therapy.
- Extensive experience across planning, simulation and treatment.
- Outstanding communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Demonstrated success in quality improvement, clinical governance and service development.
- Strong problem-solving, organisational and time management skills.
- A commitment to mentoring, coaching and developing future Radiation Therapy professionals.

Essential Requirement:





- Qualification: Bachelor of applied science (Medical Radiation Technology) degree or equivalent qualification.
- Registration: Registration with the AHPRA as a Radiation Therapist.
- Licence: Eligible to hold an EPA license to use radiation apparatus for the purpose of practicing radiotherapy.

Selection Criteria:

- Significant experience managing large clinical teams in a dynamic environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated problem solving capabilities and time management skills.
- Extensive clinical experience in all aspects of radiation therapy treatment and planning.
- Possess an ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and maintain quality communication and interpersonal skills with patients, radiation therapists and other health care professionals
- - Demonstrated experience in quality improvement and assurance.

- Demonstrated experience in performance development of staff.
