Location: Melbourne About You You are a General Commercial lawyer with a minimum of 5 years' experience, bringing a strong track record from private practice or in-house roles within large organisations.
Your Experience & Expertise: Demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial customer and supplier agreements across diverse business operations
Proven ability to manage contract negotiations end-to-end, balancing legal risk with commercial objectives to achieve practical business outcomes
Strong project management capability, including tracking contract deliverables, managing negotiation priorities and ensuring project milestones are achieved
Ability to independently manage a high volume of contractual matters while maintaining attention to detail and delivering high-quality outcomes
Experience engaging with external counterparties, suppliers and customers to negotiate contractual positions and resolve commercial issues efficiently
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively across legal, procurement, operations, commercial and project teams Attributes: Highly organised with strong project management and prioritisation skills
Commercially minded, with the ability to provide practical and solutions-focused legal advice
Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to build consensus among multiple stakeholders
Solid relationship-building capability and confidence engaging with customers, suppliers and senior business leaders
Strong attention to detail while maintaining focus on broader commercial and project objectives Requirements: Current Australian practising certificate
