Are you an experienced Physiotherapist passionate about delivering high-quality, client-centred care? Join Western District Health Service as a Grade 2 Physiotherapist, where you'll provide advanced physiotherapy services across acute, outpatient, community, regional, and aged care settings while supporting the development of future healthcare professionals.

This opportunity is ideal for a clinician who values collaboration, clinical excellence, and continuous improvement, and is seeking to make a meaningful impact on the health, wellbeing, and recovery of patients across our community.

The role would particularly suit a physiotherapist with an interest in Women's Health, including those who have undertaken postgraduate training, professional development, or upskilling in this area, and are looking to further develop their Women's Health expertise while growing their senior clinical and leadership experience within a supportive rural health service.

What You'll Be Doing

Advanced Clinical Practice

Provide evidence-based physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and consultation across acute, outpatient, community, regional, and aged care settings to optimise patient outcomes.

Client-Centred Care & Rehabilitation

Deliver comprehensive, individualised care plans that support recovery, independence, mobility, and quality of life.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration

Work closely with patients, families, medical staff, nursing teams, and allied health professionals to ensure coordinated and effective care.

Leadership, Mentoring & Education

Support and develop junior physiotherapists, Allied Health Assistants, and students through supervision, mentoring, clinical education, and professional guidance.

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

Maintain effective and professional communication with patients, carers, colleagues, and external stakeholders while demonstrating strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

Service Development & Continuous Improvement

Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, strategic planning,



and service development activities that enhance the delivery of physiotherapy services across the organisation.

Clinical Governance & Documentation

Maintain accurate, timely, and professional clinical documentation while meeting organisational, professional, and accreditation requirements.

Operational Support

Work collaboratively with the Chief Physiotherapist to support departmental operations, performance monitoring, workforce development, and service continuity.

What You Bring

- Bachelor of Physiotherapy (or equivalent) and current AHPRA registration
- Demonstrated experience delivering physiotherapy services across a range of clinical settings
- Strong clinical assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation skills
- Experience supervising, mentoring, or supporting students and junior staff
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Strong organisational, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and professional development
- Competency in clinical documentation and administrative systems
- Understanding of clinical governance, safety, and compliance requirements
