What you'll do
- Design and implement robust, scalable, and high-performance web applications using up-to-date frameworks and technologies.
- Collaborate with product managers and UX/UI designers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and user-friendly interfaces.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless communication between front-end and back-end systems.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices in software development.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and security standards are met.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues in a timely manner.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our development processes and product offerings.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration within the team.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure effective project management and team alignment.
- Contribute to the development of technical documentation, including system architecture, API specifications, and user guides.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline deployment processes and enhance system reliability.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and iterate on product features, ensuring alignment with user needs and business goals.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in full stack development, with a strong focus on both front-end and back-end technologies.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Extensive experience with back-end technologies, including Node.js, Express, and database management systems like MongoDB or PostgreSQL.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development principles.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git, and collaborative development workflows.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- A passion for technology and a desire to stay current with industry trends and best practices.
Nice to have
- Experience in the real estate or property management industry is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira or Trello.
- Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and practices, including unit testing and integration testing.
- Contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
- Experience with performance optimization and scalability challenges in web applications.
