What you'll do

- Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of new products, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, and operations, to define project scopes and deliverables.
- Establish and monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful project execution.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to promote professional growth and development.
- Implement best practices in engineering processes, including design reviews, testing protocols, and quality assurance measures.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure that Mabeyhire remains competitive in the market.




- Facilitate communication between engineering teams and other departments to ensure seamless project integration and execution.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with engineering projects, proactively addressing challenges that may arise.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to engineering processes, project specifications, and product designs.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging team members to contribute ideas and solutions for enhancing engineering practices.
- Represent the engineering department in senior management meetings, providing insights and updates on project status and team performance.

Requirements

- A degree in Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering management role.
- Proven track record of successfully leading engineering teams and managing complex projects from conception to completion.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall.




- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations relevant to engineering practices.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation within engineering processes.

Nice to have

- Experience in the construction or heavy machinery industry is a plus.
- Knowledge of CAD software and other engineering design tools.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is advantageous.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The successful candidate will be proficient in engineering design software, project management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
