Running with Thieves is an independent Western Australian brewery and distillery, producing a range of craft beers, premium spirits and crafted cocktails which are also marketed through the major retail chains and independent Liquor outlets.

Running With Thieves first started with our iconic venue in South Fremantle and have recently expanded with the opening our second venue earlier this year in Henderson. Our latest venue in Port Hedland will be opening in the coming months.

General Manager - Venue Operations

To support our continued growth, we are now seeking a General Manager – Venue Operations. This key position will be responsible for overseeing the venue operations across our three locations, as well as the Brewery and Distillery, focusing on reviewing, designing, implementing and continuously improving the systems that ensure every Running With Thieves venue delivers an exceptional and consistent guest experience. Regular travel will be required of this role.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Operational Excellence

Lead the day-to-day operations of the venue teams

Manage and inspire venue managers and front-of-house teams

Drive operational efficiency, service standards, and profitability

Ensure compliance with WHS, food safety, licensing,



and venue regulations

Build a strong team culture focused on collaboration and accountability

Build efficient workflows, operational systems and SOP’s

Identify opportunities to improve productivity and profitability

Brand Standards

Maintain consistency across every venue

Conduct operational and quality audits

Improve guest experience standards

Develop service excellence programs

Ensure every location operates consistently to the highest standard

Business Growth

Develop systems for future growth

Create scalable operational documentation

Assist with implementing current technology and innovation across the business

What we’re looking for

5 + years of Venue Management with experience in multi-site management and business improvement

Exceptional organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once

Strong leadership and coaching abilities with outstanding communication skills

A passion for systems, structure and continuous improvement

High attention to detail

Confidence using technology and AI tools to improve efficiency
