Fantastic opportunity to join Next Generation Electrical (NG/E), an electrical contracting business that focuses on renewable energy solutions, such as rooftop solar, microgrids, solar farms, EV charging stations and energy storage (battery), in addition to providing electrical solutions to domestic and commercial customers.

The Role
The Electrician will be primarily working on electrical, energy, civil and renewable projects. The Electrician will work closely with the Project Manager & Field Staff on the delivery of projects.
This role will be a key contributor in:
Complete the installation of solar, batteries and electrical infrastructure;
Deliver preventive and reactive maintenance activities;
Responsible for field activities relating to installation of solar, batteries and electrical infrastructure;
Management of projects within or below budget, including cost of labour and materials;
Liaising with client, site and vendors on aspects of the design and construction;
Subcontractor management and quality control;
Run pre-start and toolbox meetings for staff on site;
Report and site hazards, incidents and near misses to WHS officer and Project Management team;
Prepare and complete required HSE and quality documentation, and ensure contractors are accountable for HSE matters, delivery timelines and quality work;
Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety and environmental legislation; and
Skills & Experience
The role will ideally suit an experienced Electrician with a positive can-do attitude. The successful candidate will be able to problem solve, have a proactive work ethic coupled with the following qualifications, experience and attributes:
SAA Battery and Solar Accreditation
3 years of working experience in electrician/construction industry (energy/renewables preferred)
Wide knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (electrical codes, international design standards)
Experience within electrical infrastructure and services, embedded network, energy efficiency, solar PV, including ground mount systems and batteries (preferred)
Demonstrated leadership experience
Communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
