The Opportunity

As a result of continuous growth at our Bendigo office, we are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant. Reporting to the General Manager, you will manage a portfolio of clients while supporting the wider team and working closely with Managers and Partners.

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of client relationships, contribute to strategic initiatives, and play a key role in mentoring and developing team members, with clear pathways for progression.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Preparing and reviewing income tax returns and special purpose financial reports for a wide variety of clients.
- Working closely with Managers & Partners to present client solutions.
- Preparation of financial models, process and performance improvement, benchmarking, cash flow management and strategic planning initiatives.
- Working with complex group structures comprising multiple entities.
- Managing client relationships and ensuring they have access to accurate and reliable information to support decision making.
- Mentoring and developing other team members from a technical perspective.
- Delegating and reviewing work to support team development and quality outcomes.




- Supporting the setting and achievement of team budgets and billing targets.
- Working collaboratively across the business to ensure workflows run smoothly and effectively for both staff and clients.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and recommending improvements to work practices.

What you'll bring:

- 4 - 5 years' experience in a similar professional services environment.
- Strong interest in tax and advisory.
- Completed or near completed CA/CPA qualification.
- Experience in delegating, reviewing, leading and mentoring team members.
- Passion for developing your technical expertise and applying it commercially.
- Strong time management skills, high dependability and a proactive mindset.
- A collaborative, team-oriented approach with the ability to build strong internal and client relationships.
