Job Description

Our client, The Trustee for Diamond Dough No 2 Trust, is currently seeking experienced Bakers/Pastrycooks to join the team at Cruz The Bakehouse, a well-established and highly regarded bakery located in Bundaberg, Queensland.

Renowned for its gourmet fresh bread, pastries, cakes, slices, pies, muffins, and more, Cruz The Bakehouse also features a vibrant café menu including hot and cold beverages, sandwiches, burgers, and salads. These are full-time positions offering an annual salary of $75,000-$85,000 AUD plus superannuation, negotiable for the right candidates based on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities: -Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients to produce Cruz The Bakehouse's wide range of breads, pastries, and baked goods.

- Glaze buns and decorate cakes, pastries, and slices using icings, creams, and toppings to Cruz

The Bakehouse standards.

- Monitor ingredient and supply stock levels and place orders in line with Cruz

The Bakehouse budget and operational needs.

- Participate in recent product development, contributing to Cruz

The Bakehouse menu updates and seasonal pastry offerings.

- Ensure strict compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and WHS regulations across all stages of production at Cruz

The Bakehouse.

- Operate,



clean, and maintain commercial bakery equipment at Cruz

The Bakehouse, ensuring it is used safely and effectively.

- Monitor dough development, proofing, baking times, and product quality throughout Cruz

The Bakehouse production.

- Maintain accurate production records, batch information, and daily operational schedules for Cruz

The Bakehouse.

- Keep the Cruz

The Bakehouse workspace clean, sanitised, and well-organised at all times.

- Assist with the recruitment, onboarding, training, and mentoring of junior bakery staff at Cruz

The Bakehouse as required. Requirements:

- Trade qualifications in baking, pastry-making, or culinary arts.
- Minimum of 2-3 years' professional experience in a similar bakery or pastry setting.
- Strong eye for detail and creativity in presentation.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Availability for split shifts, including weekend work.
- Willingness to relocate to Bundaberg if based elsewhere.

Candidates must hold Australian or NZ Citizenship or have the capacity to work in Australia permanently.

A temporary visa holder may only be employed if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing.
