Ready to steer your engineering capability to new heights?

We're looking for a technically experiencedengineer who enjoys the blend of being “on the tools” and leading a team.

As one of two Lead Project Engineers, you will manage a portfolio of OE and Aftermarket projects as well as leading and mentoring your own team of design engineers.

Developing and managing effective stakeholder relationships is paramount, not just a peripheral task but a central component that will drive successful outcomes, motivate the team and create an environment where challenges are met with solutions.

What is expected?

As a Lead Project Engineer, you will:

Lead the charge in designing, developing, and validating creative, high-quality products that meet compliance, durability, and cost expectations.

Mentor and support an elite engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence, ownership and professional growth.

Ensure robust and documented engineering processes are followed consistently, including Testing and Validation, ECRs, BOMs, and more.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and commercially viable.





Work with the other Team Leads to ensure a consistent level of performance across the Functional Accessories Division.

Identify cost optimisation opportunities without compromising product quality.

Promote a solid safety and environmental culture consistent with APG policies.

What you bring to the role

You are a technically accomplished engineering leader, ideally with a depth of knowledge in vehicle accessories who enjoys the pace and hands-on environment. What else?

A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (mandatory)

CPEng and RPEQ accreditation or eligibility (mandatory)

Significant engineering experience particularly in metal fabrication, assemblies, and plastic moulding

Strong knowledge of product design for manufacture and assembly

Advanced proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks), FEA, ERP/BOM systems

Demonstrated experience in product development and stakeholder engagement

High-level communication and interpersonal skills

A practical, hands-on mindset with a passion for automotive products

Off-road and 4WD experience is preferred
