We are seeking a qualified and experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our workshop in Ravenhall. Our business specialises in the maintenance and repair of fleet hybrid vehicles, with a strong focus on Toyota hybrid systems.

Applicants must demonstrate strong hybrid vehicle diagnostic and repair experience and successfully pass our practical assessment.

The successful applicant must

- Be fully qualified as a Light Vehicle Mechanic
- Hold a minimum Certificate III in Automotive Technology (or equivalent)
- Have a minimum of 1 year of workshop experience
- Have proven experience working on hybrid vehicles
- Be able to diagnose and repair hybrid system faults
- Have a current full driver's licence
- Be punctual, well presented, and highly motivated
- Be able to work independently
- Have attention to detail
- Be physically fit




- Own tools will be highly regarded

Required documents

- Current Police Check
- Current Full Driver's Licence
- Certificate III in Automotive Technology (minimum)
- Evidence of previous workshop experience
- Right to work in Australia documentation

Duties of the role include

- General servicing and repairs of light vehicles
- Hybrid vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Diagnosis of hybrid battery and electrical system faults
- Engine and gearbox removal and installation
- Timing belt/chain replacement
- Suspension and brake repairs
- Fleet vehicle maintenance
- Assisting other team members when required
- Supporting the training of apprentices

Selection process

Shortlisted applicants will be required to complete an on-field practical test.

The assessment will involve diagnosing and repairing various vehicle problems, including hybrid-related faults, before a final employment decision is made.
