Role Description The Registered Nurse role at Muslim Care is a full-time, on-site position based in Sydney, NSW.
The Registered
Nurse will provide high-quality clinical care to older adults and individuals with disability, including comprehensive assessments, care planning, medication administration, and ongoing monitoring of health status. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating and implementing person-centered care, maintaining accurate documentation, liaising with families, carers, and other health professionals, and supporting multidisciplinary teams to promote well-being and independence. The role also involves educating clients and their families on health management, adhering to clinical and organisational policies,
and contributing to continuous improvement in care practices aligned with Muslim Care’s values of inclusion and respect.
Qualifications
Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Clinical nursing skills in aged care, disability support, or community health, including assessment, care planning, and medication management.
Robust communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to provide person-centered care that respects diverse cultural, religious, and social backgrounds.
Experience with clinical documentation, electronic health records, and adherence to quality and safety standards.
Demonstrated ability to manage time, prioritize workloads, and respond calmly and professionally in urgent or changing situations.
Knowledge of relevant Australian aged care and disability legislation, guidelines, and best practice standards.
Commitment to holistic care, compassion, and supporting the physical, emotional, and social well-being of clients.
CPR and First Aid certification, and willingness to participate in ongoing professional development.
Valid working rights in Australia; a National Police Check and Working With Children Check (or ability to obtain) may be required.
