About the Role
Queensland X-Ray is seeking a motivated and patient-focused Registered Nurse to join our Toowoomba team on a part-time basis.
This role is rostered Monday to Thursday, with 7.6-hour shifts and start times ranging between 7:00am, 8:00am, and 8:30am. Following successful completion of a 5-month probation period, participation in a rotating on-call roster will be required.
Remuneration: Registered Nurse Level 5.2 to 5.7
As a Registered Nurse, you will work both autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive patient experience. You will bring a strong foundation in general nursing practice, excellent clinical judgement, and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
While previous medical imaging experience is not required, comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided. You will be responsible for coordinating patient care, contributing to care planning, supporting clinical procedures, and working closely with radiologists, medical imaging staff,
and fellow healthcare professionals.
The successful candidate will demonstrate initiative, strong organisational skills, and the ability to efficiently manage their workload while maintaining a high standard of patient-centred care.
About you
- AHPRA registration required, with no limitations or restrictions
- 2 years minimum general nursing experience in a hospital setting (required)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional time management skills with sound decision making under pressure
- Sharp attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Friendly, caring and compassionate nature with the ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Passion for providing excellent customer service and patient care
- Peripheral intravenous cannulation skills (desirable)
- Current basic life support
- Advanced life support (desirable)
