We have an opportunity for an experienced Purchasing Officer to join our team in a full-time capacity. Operating from our Melbourne premises in Cheltenham, this energetic role ensures that the company’s inventory is managed effectively and accurately, allowing the company to possess or quickly source the relevant stock required to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

This exciting role is at the centre of what our company is known for…the sale & support of technically advanced globally recognised electrical product solutions and the delivery of the best customer care in our industry.

We are a national company with a HQ in Melbourne, two operational premises in NSW and people based all over Australia.

We source a complete range of niche electrical products from all over the world and supply them to our customers in the various electrical industries in Australia and New Zealand.

We are an importer and distributor with a focus on business-to-business sales.

You will have these primary responsibilities:





- Purchasing
- Revised backorder notifications
- Preparation of purchasing shipments
- Preparation of warehouse receipts
- Stock adjustments
- Customs / duty clearance

What you will need

- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a purchasing officer involving internationally sourced products.
- Have an organised personality and a proven track record of managing a stock profile.
- Have great ‘people skills’ and the ability to build strong long-lasting relationships.
- Go out of your way to deliver what you promise & exceed customer expectations.
- Seek continual improvement in what you do.
- Want a career path, not just a job.
- Be able to tolerate questionable humour.
- Initiative, self motivation and a "whatever it takes" attitude.

Salary: $70-80K (depending on experience) + Superannuation + Company Bonus
