About the Role

Our client partner, a leading Tier 1 Mining Company is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee coal quality and dewatering activities across a large-scale mining operation.

Working an 8/6 roster, you will provide hands‑on leadership to ensure production activities are completed safely, efficiently and in line with operational and coal quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise daily coal quality and dewatering activities
- Coordinate crews, equipment and operational priorities
- Monitor coal quality requirements and production targetsManage pit water, pumping and dewatering activities
- Ensure work is completed safely and in line with site procedures
- Conduct pre‑starts, toolbox meetings and shift handovers




- Identify operational risks and implement suitable controls
- Work closely with production, maintenance and technical teams
- Support workforce performance, development and accountability

About You

- Previous supervisory experience within open‑cut coal mining
- Strong understanding of coal quality and dewatering activities
- Demonstrated ability to lead operational mining crews
- Sound knowledge of mining safety systems and procedures
- Strong communication, planning and problem‑solving skills
- Relevant qualifications and current site‑required competencies
- A practical and safety‑focused leadership style
