About this role
Grant Thornton Australia is looking for aSenior Associate, Data Analyticsto join our Financial Advisory team inMelbourne or Sydney.
As part of our Financial Advisory practice, you willcollaborate with other areas of the business, gather,extractand analyse datato helpprovide meaningful and actionable insights and recommendations for the firm’s clients, providing solutions to complex financial and business problems.
This role offers a compelling opportunity for a data-driven professional with3/4years’experience to deepen their expertise inanalytics, andwould be ideal for someone who’s already worked with data in a commercial setting and is looking to expand their impact through more complex problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and scalable delivery.You willhavedirect interaction with senior leaders and other key stakeholders,enjoying a diverse workload and being involved in the ongoing strategy and development of this growing team.
Key responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data analysis tasks, specifying the data to be collected and methodologies and tools used
Work closely with stakeholders toidentifydata sources, gather relevant information, andperform ETLprocesses(extraction, cleaning,transformationand loading)
Buildandmaintaindata models, dashboards,
and reports using tools such as Power Query, Power BI, Alteryx, SQL, or Pythonto automate and simulate processes, adjusting and recasting models asrequired
Learn how toidentifytrends and patterns, andprovideactionable insights and recommendations based on data findings
University degree in a relevant discipline
At least3year’s experiencein a similar role
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Adaptable anddynamic approach to work, with ability to pivot between different projects and teams as needed
Excellent communication skills, including interpreting requirementsof diverse teamsand adaptinginterpersonalstyle todifferent audiences
