Leading Wollongong legal firm, Maguire & McInerney is seeking a motivated solicitor to join our growing litigation team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor who enjoys advocacy, strategic thinking and working closely with clients through complex and often life‑changing legal matters.
While our litigation practice is broad, this role has a strong emphasis on personal injury and employment law with exposure to a diverse range of commercial and civil disputes.
In this role:
- You will work alongside experienced practitioners and have responsibility for managing your own matters.
- Have exposure to sophisticated and complex litigation personal injury claims including motor vehicle and public liability matters, employment law advice and acting in disputes between employees and employers.
- Provide practical commercially focused advice to clients.
- Have career advancement opportunities in fast‑growing firm.
- Be exposed to Court and Tribunal appearances.

Experience and qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience in litigation.
- Capable of working semi‑autonomously, under the supervision of the litigation partner.
- Ability to analyse legal issues, identify key legal principles, and apply them to specific cases or situations.
- Experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing high‑quality legal advice and counsel.
