Research and Evaluation Officer 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract | Full time | Flexible Working Arrangements

Are you looking for an opportunity to work with partners to improve programs, policies and initiatives that address violence against women and children?

ANROWS is seeking a Research and Evaluation Officer to join our Evaluation and Impact team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful evaluation projects that help inform policy, practice and service delivery across Australia.

Working alongside experienced evaluation professionals, you will apply your evaluation, research and communication skills across a variety of projects, helping generate evidence-informed insights that support safer outcomes for women and children.

About the role

Reporting to the Evaluation and Partnerships Manager, you will support the design and delivery of evaluations of policies, programs and initiatives within the domestic, family and sexual violence sector.

Key responsibilities include

- Supporting evaluation design, planning, logic models and theories of change.
- Conducting qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis.
- Coordinating project activities, meetings, workshops, timelines and reporting.
- Preparing evaluation reports, presentations and evidence-based resources.
- Building effective relationships with stakeholders, partners and participants.
- Contributing to proposals,



funding applications and continuous improvement initiatives.

About you

You are curious, analytical and organised, with a passion for using evidence to drive meaningful outcomes.

You will bring

- Experience in evaluation within a relevant sector.
- Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills.
- Experience coordinating research and/or evaluation projects.
- Excellent written communication and report-writing skills.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capabilities.
- Sound judgement, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in evaluation, psychology, criminology, sociology, public health, gender studies or a related discipline.

Highly regarded

- Knowledge of domestic, family and sexual violence issues.
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
- Understanding of decolonising and/or Indigenous research methodologies.
- Ability to travel within Australia as required.
