Anopportunity exists for an enthusiastic and experienced Road Planning Engineerto join our Built Environment business unit. In this role you will formsolutions and prioritise outcomes relevant to Council road, bridge, path anddrainage assets, for integration into maintenance and capital works renewal andimprovement programs across the Wellington Shire.

Thesuccessful candidate will be offered a variety of challenging functions, with amix of both field and office work. Key responsibilities of the roleinclude:

- Engagementwith internal and external stakeholders, to ensure Council’s works align withcommunity and organisational needs.
- Assistancewith Capital works planning including the development of long-term capitalworks renewal and upgrade plans.
- Developmentof traffic management solutions.
- Reviewing andapproving traffic management plans and issuing memorandum of authorisationdocumentation.
- Undertaking inspections, audit, investigation and reporting activities.

Ifyou have completed an Engineering degree and have a passion for makingdifference in the community, we welcome your application.

Thesuccessful candidate will need to demonstrate how they meet the criteria below:

- CivilEngineering qualification, or in last year of degree program.
- Understandingof road and drainage infrastructure design and maintenance principles.
- Demonstratedability to manage time effectively, analyse data and prioritise tasks.
- Ability toeffectively communicate, liaise with and gain co-operation from otheremployees, public authorities and external providers.




- Aptitude forusing current technology, and skills in utilising Computer Aided Design(CAD) and Microsoft Excel software.
