The Australian Vietnamese Women's Association Inc. (AVWA) is a registered training organisation providing vocational training and English programs to students in Melbourne Metropolitan regions. Due to rapid growth, AVWA is looking for qualified and experienced trainers to deliver one of following qualifications:

- CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability)

This role aims to provide high quality, skilled, culturally responsive training and assessment services by planning, developing, delivering and reviewing training and assessment in line with the AQTF Essential Standards & Conditions for Continuing Registration, VRQA Guidelines for VET Providers, and the RTO policy and procedures.

Key Responsibilities: General Duties:

- Prepare/print learning material and assessment tools of upcoming units according to the course's timetable
- Understand the business process (pre-training review) and communicate with administration officers or enrolment officers to develop training plan to meet each student's needs, prior to the commencement of training
- Monitor student's learning progress, and constantly communicate and report the student's learning progress to the training administration officers
- Mentor and support students during the course
- Conduct training and assessment to each student or group of students, mark assessment, and/or visit & assess student in the workplace (where required)
- Treat students with respect, dignity and be responsive to their diverse needs
- Ensure that training and assessment is consistent with AQTF Essential Standards & Conditions for Continuing Registration, VRQA Guidelines for VET Providers, and the RTO policy and procedures
- Participate in assessment validation and moderation, and attend meeting when required
- Assess,



record and report qualification completion to the administration officers as soon as practicable after students successfully completed activity in the Training Plan
- Be available at audits upon request

Specific Work Placement Duties (Field Placement Trainers/Assessors only)

- Maintain adequate supervision of students in field work placements
- Conduct workplace visits and assessment according to the requirements of Training and Assessment Strategies
- Ensure that all legal, regulatory and policy requirements both the RTO and government are followed in relation to Vocational Education, delivery, assessment and students within the program
- Undertake student assessment of competence as per assessment guidelines provided by the AVWA and its assessment procedures

The above list is not exhaustive, and the role may change to meet the overall objectives of AVWA. Any other relevant duties as reasonably required by the management.

Who you are:

- One of the above qualifications or an equivalent qualification,
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or an equivalent qualification,
- Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided,
- Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs their training and assessment,
- Experience in teaching students from non-English speaking background,
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, and
- Holds a current NDIS Worker Screening check.
- Candidate has to understand and follow Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) Conditions and Standards as well as Victorian Registration and Qualification Authority (VRQA) Guidelines.
