The Opportunity

Monash University is seeking an accomplished and strategic leader to step into the role of Director, Office of Quality and Group Policy . Reporting to the Executive Director, Governance, Risk and Policy and University Secretary, you will lead an integrated approach to institutional quality and policy across the Monash Group. In this high-impact position, you will ensure that governance and operational arrangements remain rigorously aligned with the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards). As the primary contact for TEQSA, you will expertly manage that key relationship, be accountable for meeting the relevant regulatory requirements, and provide expert, evidence-based advice to the senior executive and Council, ensuring compliance while enhancing institutional capability.

To be successful in this role, you will bring a comprehensive knowledge of contemporary corporate governance, risk and compliance management principles, and their application in the higher education sector. Leveraging your exceptional written and oral communication skills, you will have demonstrated ability to draft policies and prepare and deliver briefings, reports and proposals for all levels of the University and external bodies. Key to your success will be your exceptional relationship management skills, which will enable you to collaborate productively with complementary functions, while motivating a dedicated team in a fast-paced environment.
