Administration & Operations Coordinator - Transport Industry

We are a well-established and growing container cartage company specialising in road and rail transport, and we're looking for an Administration & Operations Coordinator to join our West Melbourne office.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a great company with a friendly, experienced team. Previous transport industry experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided to the right candidate with the right attitude.

About the Role

Working Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 3:00pm, you'll play a key role in supporting our daily operations by coordinating bookings, managing administration, and ensuring drivers have the information they need to keep freight moving efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Booking container time slots for drivers
- Using transport systems including Containerchain, OneStop and Maximus




- High-volume data entry with a robust focus on accuracy
- General administration and operational support
- Liaising with drivers and internal staff
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Assisting with the day-to-day coordination of container movements

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong computer and data entry skills
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Outstanding organisational and time management skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong communication skills
- Previous experience in the transport or logistics industry is preferred but not essential
