Harmony Auto is a fast-growing automotive group representing leading EV brands including BYD and DENZA. As our business continues to expand, we are currently seeking an experienced Automotive Technician - General Repairs to join our warehouse team based in Clayton.

This role is responsible for carrying out general mechanical repairs, vehicle inspections, fault diagnosis and rectification, ensuring vehicles are prepared to the highest standard before delivery to our dealerships. This position is ideal for a qualified technician with experience working on electric vehicles and holding a recognised EV qualification.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform general mechanical repairs, servicing and maintenance on new vehicles.

- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and electronic faults using manufacturer diagnostic equipment.

- Carry out vehicle inspections, quality checks and pre-delivery rectification.

- Complete warranty repairs, recalls and campaign work where required.

- Perform software updates, vehicle programming and system calibrations where applicable.

- Conduct repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company quality standards.

- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and within required timeframes.

- Maintain workshop tools, equipment and a clean, organised and safe working environment.

- Work closely with the warehouse,



logistics and delivery teams to ensure vehicles are prepared for dealership transfer.

Skills & Experience

- Qualified Automotive Technician (Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent).

- Recognised Electric Vehicle (EV) qualification/certification is essential.

- Proven experience in automotive diagnosis, servicing and general mechanical repairs.

- Experience working with electric vehicles is highly regarded.

- Robust diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

- Ability to interpret workshop manuals, wiring diagrams and technical information.

- Experience using manufacturer diagnostic equipment and scan tools.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Valid Australian Driver Licence.

Nice to Have (Highly Regarded)

- Previous experience working with BYD, DENZA or other EV manufacturers.

- Experience performing warranty repairs and manufacturer campaigns.

- Air-conditioning licence (if applicable).

- HV battery diagnosis or repair experience.
