What you'll do

- Architect and execute autonomous behaviors for uncrewed aerial platforms.
- Process sensor data to create functional sensor fusion systems.
- Validate autonomy logic using hardware-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop simulation environments.
- Connect Shieldai autonomy software with third-party aircraft and hardware.
- Partner with robotics, AI, and systems engineering groups to deploy functional solutions.
- Establish technical standards, conduct design reviews, and maintain high code quality.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineering staff.

Requirements

- Tertiary degree in Robotics, Aerospace, Mechatronics, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.




- Extensive professional background in autonomy, robotics, aerospace systems, or perception.
- Proficiency in contemporary C++ development.
- Demonstrated history of building and shipping reliable software within high-velocity environments.

Nice to have

- Background in the defense sector.
- Experience with uncrewed aerial vehicles.
- Technical expertise in state estimation, path planning, real-time systems, or guidance, navigation, and control.
