Our clientan established MSP and MSSP company. The company provides managed services tothe clients and replaces the internal IT department for its clients. Theorganization is very structured in its approach and thus is very customersatisfaction oriented.

About the role

This is a key role you will see you designand price technical solutions to meet client’s requirement whilst proactivelyidentifying technology opportunities & new product offering for end client tohelp our client achieve their revenue business goals.

The DesignDesk Engineer is a critical role within our Managed Service Provider (MSP)organization, responsible for the research, design, and proposal development oftechnology solutions for our clients. This role works closely with the vCIO(Virtual Chief Information Officer) and Technology Alignment Manager (TAM) totranslate client needs and strategic objectives into detailed project proposals

Role and Responsibilities

- Exceptionalcommunication and presentationskillsand ability to confidently present and negotiate solutions andvalue propositions, analyse a range of situations and respond effectively
- Translate business requirements(discovered in client workshops or as provided by Account Managers) into IT solutionsacross technologies including but not limited to cloud, network, security, Microsoft365, Co-Pilot agents, Power BI, SharePoint, On-Prem, Back-up, etc
- Design, price and scope solutions inconjunction with the professional services team




- Get Account Managers/Sales team buyinthat the solution delivers on client’s objectives
- Get Qualified Services buy-in thatthe solution is technically deliverable and can be delivered on-time, in-budget
- Get vendors buy-in to ensure that thesolution is delivered by the vendor product used
- Write proposals and respond toinformation requests (RFP/RFQ etc.)
- Prepare and present targeted C-Levelpresentations
- Nurture technical pre-salesrelationships with our partners (vendors, suppliers and contractors) leveragetheir expertise for opportunities
- Research changes in vendor andcompetitor products and services and help providing new, latest tech andinnovative solutions to the customer

Experience and Skills Requirements

- Must have outstanding communicationsskills and customer service skills for both over the phone and in-person
- Ability to design and price infrastructure solutionsacross cloud, network, security, Microsoft 365, Co-Pilot agents, Power BI, SharePointetc
- Keen interest in keeping abreast ofcurrent and emerging technologiesand incorporating new technologies in theMSP’s solution stack
- Exceptional excellentcommunication and solution and proposal presentation skills
- MUST HAVE Previous experience inclient facing roles such as Pre-sales Consultant, Technical Account Manager or ProjectsEngineer and Business Development in a MSP (Managed Services) environment
- MUST HAVE experience designing andpricing solutions
- Technical problem solving, solutiondesign, solution sales, solution pricing experience in Cloud, Network, Server,Security for SMB clients
- Tertiary education, ideally auniversity bachelors’ degree (in any field)
- A valid driver's license
- The right to work in Australia.
