About the role

We are seeking a Pre-owned Sales Consultant to join our dynamic sales team at our Ringwood, VIC location. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to build a rewarding career in automotive sales. As a Pre-owned Sales Consultant, you will be at the heart of our business, responsible for guiding customers through their vehicle purchase journey and building lasting relationships. This role is crucial to our dealership's success, combining product knowledge with genuine customer care to ensure clients find the perfect vehicle for their needs.

What you'll be doing

- Welcoming and greeting customers visiting the dealership showroom with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Assessing customer needs and preferences to identify suitable pre-owned vehicles from our inventory
- Providing detailed product knowledge and vehicle information, including features, specifications, and service history
- Conducting test drives and highlighting the benefits of our pre-owned vehicles
- Preparing quotations and discussing financing options and special offers with customers
- Managing the sales process from initial inquiry through to final paperwork and vehicle handover
- Building and maintaining a database of customer contacts for follow-up communications and repeat business
- Achieving individual sales targets and contributing to the dealership's overall sales performance
- Processing sales documentation accurately and in accordance with dealership procedures




- Staying informed about current inventory, promotions, and pricing strategies
- Collaborating with team members to ensure a seamless customer experience

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in a sales role, preferably within automotive or a similar customer-facing environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse customer groups
- Excellent negotiation abilities and a results-driven mindset to meet and exceed sales targets
- Product knowledge of vehicles, or willingness to develop this through training
- Proficiency in using computer systems and CRM software to manage customer records and sales information
- A professional appearance and demeanour that reflects the dealership's brand values
- Ability to work flexibly, including occasional weekend and public holiday work as required in a retail automotive environment
- Current driver's licence and clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Certification in automotive sales or related fields is desirable but not essential
