Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Pathology Collectorto join the team at Northern Health.

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.

Services are provided through our six main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.

About the Role:

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic

This role requiresthe collector tobe technically competent and reliable,caringand compassionate. Theroleincludes thecollection ofsamples from patients includingblood, urine,faecesand swabs. Take delivery of samples andprocess them ready for pick-up by couriers.The role will also include some pre-analytical processing of blood and other samples for analysis.

Ensuring that the role is carried out in a manner that is consistent with the values,



qualityobjectives, performance goals, delegations, policies, procedures, and operations of NPV and in line with the Northern Health “Code of Conduct”.The major duties and/or responsibilities and the Key Performance Indicators outline the scope of the position.

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Certificate III/IV in Pathology Collection
- Experience and goodworking knowledge of Pathology Collection
- Proven ability to work in a team setting and autonomously
- The flexibility to work a7-dayweekrotating roster, this includes weekends and public holidays
- General computer skills
- Great timemanagement
- Current working with children’s check (employee)
- An unencumbereddriver'slicense
