Job Description

Volunteer Visitor – Share a Cuppa and a Chat

An elderly lady living in an aged care community in Bonnells Bay would love a friendly volunteer to visit for a cuppa and conversation.

A former nurse, she enjoys connecting with others and would greatly appreciate some social support and companionship to brighten her day.

If you have a warm smile, a listening ear, and an hour to spare, you could make a meaningful difference through the gift of friendship.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of people cared for by HammondCare.





HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.

- 18 years or older
- National Volunteer Police Check arranged
- Reference check
- Volunteer Training
